Eva Tatcheva

Eva Tatcheva at the chrysalis stage. This poster is a reflection of the coming of age of a Balkan artist during her teen years to a mature European adult on a continuing journey of self-discovery.
An artist repressed by communism growing up, then immersed into a Capitalist culture with much more liberty to inspire expression of thought.
My design also depicts the change in my artistic “hand drawing” style to that of my teenage and college years. I had never seen a computer when I was in Bulgaria (BG), but how ironic now that my illustration/design work is all digital. It offers versatility, speed and total convenience of access to research via the Internet. It represents the parallel axis to my cultural existence here now in England (GB).
All in all, my life may have rotated from teens to ty’s, from BG to GB, from less to more, but I am proud that those hard early years made me the person I am today. I am married to Sam and live in Greater London. I have lived a roller-coaster life, but would not change it, and I know I am charmed to have been given so many chances, opportunities and the ability to meet so many different and special people. I am Eva from Bulgaria, living in England, but the same person with the same personality.
